The item is made from FSC certified oak (FSC-C166612). H 14 cm, D 10 cm. With a strong belief in the power of smile, Gustav Ehrenreich created his cheerful Hoptimist movement in the late 1960s. The goal was to create a figure that should form an eternal reminder of staying positive and optimistic. Because although the 60s are often referred to as "The Happy 60ies", the decade was marked by unrest. Therefore, Ehrenreich's design was a welcome donor of joy in an otherwise rather turbulent time. Bimble and Bumble represent the very first optimists from the hand of the designer: a girl dressed for school with smiling eyes and an attentive boy with a splint on his head. The cheerful optimists are now part of Danish design history and provide joy worldwide.
